PURPOSE:To set the sizes of pictures optionally, and to prevent a malfunction due to nose, etc., by detecting a terminating data added at the terminal of each datum, and controlling the readout of the picture data from a storage part and a data output from a picture processos to a picture output device. CONSTITUTION:The picture data outputted from a picture input device 1, after it is masked with a masking circuit 5, converts a Y, an M, and a C to the Y, the M, the C, and a K with a UCR6. Each output of the UCR6 is stored by every signal unit at a storage part 7 as one sheet of an original. Data stored at the storage part 7 are read out with different timings in a picture output requested time. Meanwhile, at each of threshold value generation parts 10-Y-10-K, a serial half tone data obtained by smearing out a micro picture element at a new picture element generated at a picture output device 3 has been set, and these are compared with each of the Y, the M, the C, and the K outputted from the storage part 7 with comparators 9-Y-9-K, and various sizes of signals (binarization signals) obtained as a result are outputted to the picture output device 3.
