PURPOSE:To effectively prevent disorder in a reproduced picture from occurring by writing a reproduced video signal in a stable state after track jumping, then reading the video signal in synchronization with a synchronizing signal to be used as a constant reference. CONSTITUTION:In a variable-speed reproduction mode, the pickup head of a disc reproducing function part 1 executes the track jumping in response to a jumping pulse JP supplied to a terminal 13. The pulse JP is supplied to a sequency control circuit 30, and the circuit 30 writes in a field memory device 3 a reproduced video signals SPB in synchronization with its V-synchronising signal VPB at the timing of the reproduction signal after track-jumping is comparatively stable. Until the time when the following writing is executed, the video signal written in the device 3 is repeatedly read out in synchronization with the frame pulse FP and the V-pulse VP outputted from a frequency divider 26 which are unrelated to the signal VPB but made a reference.
