PURPOSE:To adjust the laser luminous quantity without giving a damage to a photosensitive body by providing a control exposure section where a laser beam is irradiated to a prescribed position of a photosensitive belt so as to adjust a luminescent output. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam 3 is scanned and exposured on the photosensitive belt 1. The photosensitive bel 1 is provided with a joint 10 as the control exposure section and the joint 10 is provided with a sensing hole 20. While a light source 19 and an optical sensor 18 detects the sensing hole, the laser is irradiated to the joint 10 to adjust the laser output. The joint 10 of the photosensitive belt 1 has no photosensitivity and avoids undesired development. Thus, no exposure to the photosensitive body is applied to adjust the laser beam output.
