[Also' in Division C2] Pharmaceutical, veterinary, and pesticidal compositions comprise a compound of the general formula:- in which R 1 and R 2 each represents a hydrogen atom or an acyl group and X represents Z representing a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group and Y representing a hydrogen atom or an acyl group or a corresponding compouod in which X and the hydrogen atom in the 17-position are replaced by a group of the formula:- in which Y represents a hydrogen atom or an acyl radical, in admixture or conjunction with a suitable carrier. The pesticidal compositions are suitable for plant protection.
