PURPOSE:To print a high quality character or image even on receiving paper extremely inferior in surface smoothness or a film not too high in the compatibility with ink, by a method wherein a heat energy applying means and a magnetic attraction means are provided to a recording part of thermoplastic magnetic ink and the ink recording part is transferred to a receiving medium under the control of the application of heat energy by magnetic attraction force. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head 21 is used as heat energy applying means and a permanent magnet 26 is used as a magnetic attraction force generating means and, in printing, a pulse is generated in a pulse generating part 31 to be reversed by an inverter 32 while the inverter 32 is connected to the base of a transistor 33 to apply voltage of 5.0V per one dot to a thermal head heat generating resistor 34 for 0.7msec. Because this system is non-contact, the escape of heat and the contamination of a character are reduced and a printed dot has a shape of which outline is clear and the whole of the dot also has high density and high quality. |
