PURPOSE:To provide a sliding member having excellent impact resistance and abrasion resistance, which comprises a self-lubricating sintered copper ally obtd. by sintering copper alloy powder contg. Ni, Sn, and P, Mo powder, and graphite powder. CONSTITUTION:Starting powder comprising copper alloy powder (A) comprised of 5-30wt% (hereinafter referred to simply as '%') Ni, 7-13% Sn, and 0.2-2% P with the balance being Cu, lubricating powder (B) comprised of 1-5% (based on the component A) Mo powder and 1-2.5% graphite powder, and a synthetic resin binder are placed in a kneader 4 to disperse them in each other, thereby obtaining a mixture M. The mixture M is heated on a heater 5 to allow it to dry and is passed several times through a rolling mill 6 to obtain a raw sheet S. The raw sheet is heated by the heater 5 to remove the strain and is rolled into a rolled form. If necessary, a raw material plate P is cut and applied to a base material 2 with an adhesive. A vent sheet 6 and a pressing material 7 are placed thereon, followed by sintering in a vacuum sintering oven 8, thereby obtaining a self-lubricating sintered copper alloy. The alloy is used as a constituting material to obtain a sliding member. |
