The method involves mounting lateral guide elements (19, 20) on the longitudinal ends of the heald-frame assembly (18) and mounting heald-frame assembly slide elements (21, 22, 23) on the weaving machine, after which the heald-frame assembly (18) is lowered. The heald-frame assembly (18) is guided with its cloth-facing lower longitudinal edge (37) on the heald-frame assembly slide elements (21, 22, 23) and is oriented parallel to the heald-frame guides (12, 14). When lowered further, the heald-frame assembly (18) comes with the heald-frame coupling hooks (38) into the heald-frame drop sinkers (11). The lateral guide elements (19, 20) are then removed and the adjustable tuck-side heald-frame guide (14) is pushed up to the heald-frame assembly (18). The heald-frame assembly slide elements (21, 22, 23) are thereafter removed. <IMAGE>
