PURPOSE:To form a coastal line by allowing drift sand to deposit as well as prevent the occurrence of erosion by a method in which a jetty to be constructed from then coastal line to the offing is formed by stacking many linear materials in such a way as to cross them toward their longitudinal directions. CONSTITUTION:Plural jetties 11 are constructed at an adequate interval toward the offing from the coastal line by stacking countless synthetic resin wires 13 between piles 12 in plural rows, driven into the seabed, in such a way as to cross them their longitudinal directions. The flow of tidal current passing through the wires 13 is well adjusted and the disturbance of the current near the bases of the jetties is suppressed. The occurrence of souring can thus be prevented and the deposition of drift sand (b) can also be promoted because of the trapping of drift sand (b).
