PURPOSE:To improve the paintability, spot weldability and workability of a steel sheet plated with Al by vapor deposition by further plating the Al plated steel sheet with Fe by vapor deposition. CONSTITUTION:Al is vapor-deposited on a steel sheet at a temp. below the hot dipping temp. Fe is further vapor-deposited on the resulting Al layer to form an Fe layer. The steel sheet plated with A4l and Fe by vapor deposition maintains corrosion resistance peculiar to an Al plated steel sheet and has superior paintability, spot weldability and workability.
