PURPOSE:To obtain a code reception system where a block code is decoded correctly in a wider range, by decoding the signal of a bit unit and the block code as one body in case of diversity reception. CONSTITUTION:Demodulation outputs of receivers 21-2M are decoded to '0' or '1' every bit by bit unit decoders 31-3M, and decoded results (reception words) Z1-ZM are supplied to a diversity bit decoder 15, and reception levels r1-rM detected by receivers 21-2M are supplied to the decoder 15 also from terminals 41-4M. In the decoder 15, each bit is decoded and a reliability index ¦fi(0)-fi(1)¦ of each decoded digit Yi is operated by prescribed operations in accordance with input reception words Z1-ZM, reception levels r1-rM, and transmission words D0 and D1, and they are supplied to a block code decoder 16, and a prescribed operation of these inputs Yi and ¦fi(0)-fi(1)¦ and a code word Xj is performed to decode the block code.
