PURPOSE:To eliminate the useless working and time in the processing of jammed paper by detecting the speed variation of the roll paper which is accompanied by the reduction of the roll paper and determining the roll paper supply stop time point, thus eliminating the feed of the roll paper shorter than a prescribed length. CONSTITUTION:The revolution speed of a roll paper 1 in the case when the length of the roll paper 1 reaches a prescribed length is previously set into a roll paper limit revolution speed setting means 13. The revolution speed of the roll paper 1 in the case when the roll paper is supplied is measured by a roll paper speed sensor 12 arranged on the side surface of a roll paper holder 2, and compared with the revolution speed of the roll paper 1 which is previously set, and then it is judged if the length of the roll paper 1 is short than the prescribed length or not by a left paper quantity judging means 14. The operation of a roll paper feed driving means 8 is controlled on the basis of the result of the judgement by a roll paper feed control means 15. Therefore, the feed of the roll paper 1 shorter than the prescribed length is prevented, and the useless working and time such as for jammed paper processing, etc. can be eliminated. |
