PURPOSE:To prevent reproduced sound from the trouble of horizontal inversion by forming a switching mechanism to be switched in accordance with a sound recording format arranging a sound source in the front of the mechanism or on its back to record sound stereoscopically by a pair of microphones and reproduce the sound by a pair of speakers. CONSTITUTION:The changeover switch mechanism 12 switches a state connecting the left input terminal 13 of a sound recording/reproducing part 5 to the left microphone 1 through an amplifier 4 and connecting the right input terminal 13' of the sound recording/reproducing part 5 to the right microphone 1' through an amplifier 4' and a state connecting the terminal 13 to the microphone 1' through the amplifier 4' and connecting the terminal 13 to the microphone 1 through the amplifier 4. Thus, the mechanism 12 is switched in accordance with the sound recording format arranging the sound source in the front of the mechanism 12 or on its back to output the sound from the speakers 2, 2', so that the reproduced sound can be prevented from the trouble of horizontal inversion.
