PURPOSE:To obtain color-selection mechanism of high precision, by forming a color-selection electrode by simple bending work so that complicated works accompanying on press work and problems on deterioration in shape precision due to component segregation and crystal grains can be avoided. CONSTITUTION:A color selection electrode 4 formed of a metallic thin plate is placed on a front terminal plane 5a of a supporting frame 5. Then, a receiving board 14 having a receiving plane 14a formed on the same curved plane as the front terminal plane 5a of the supporting frame 5 is arranged inside the supporting frame 5, with the color selection electrode 4 placed to straddle on the receiving plane 14a of the receiving board 14 and its peripheral supporting frame 5. Thus, the electrode 4 is bent from its above by its own weight along the receiving plane 14a of the receiving board 14 and the curved terminal plane 5a of the frame 5, within its elastic limit. The electrode 4 in this state is welded in line or spot shape along the terminal plane 5a of the supporting frame 5, at a part jointed with the plane 5a of the frame 5.
