PURPOSE:To simplify the lower die constitution and to easily take out a work by overhanging the outer edge of a work loaded on the lower die, forming a working space under the outer edge to arrange a hemming punch in the working space and by providing a pad to press the work to the lower die. CONSTITUTION:When the work W is loaded on the lower die 4, the outside edge part 1 tentatively bent is projected from the lower die 4 to sides to overhang and to form the working space 8 at the lower side thereof. Then, when the upper die 5 is descended, the pad 21 is abutted on the upper surface of the work W. As descending the upper die 5 furthermore, springs 22 are compressed to press the work on the lower die 4. Descending the upper die 5 furthermore, an arm 11 begins to turn by a press pin 24, the outer edge part 1 tentatively bent is bent inside by the hemming punch 12 and a receiver 23. More, an outside edge part 2 is bent nearly right angle by the lower die 4 and the upper die 5, and a part of the other outer edge part is bent by the hemming punch and perforated by the piercing punch. As a result, each outer edge parts 1, 2, etc., is worked to bend into a final shape.
