PURPOSE:To prevent disturbance of molten metal flow by a feeder head case ad to improve a surface quality of ingot by arranging a settling part of the feeder head case at an inner surface of upper part of a mold body and forming as almost same face between the inner surface of the feeder head case settled at the settling part of the feeder head case and the inner surface of the mold body. CONSTITUTION:The mold body 3 arranges the settling part 4 of the feeder head case at the inner surface of upper part thereof to enable the feeder head case 5 to settle at the settling part 4 of the feeder head case. Then, the mold body is formed as almost same face between the inner surface 5a of the feeder head case 5 settled at the settling part 4 of the feeder head case and the inner surface 3a of the mold body 3. In this way, as the molten metal supplied into the mold 1 for ingot making by top pouring or bottom pouring is not effected by the feeder head case 5, the ingot having good quality is obtd.
