PURPOSE:To keep geometric position stably and to execute accurate measurement for a roll-alignment and a distance of rolls, etc., by carrying a truck loaded diagnostic instruments for a slab supporting guide apparatus in a cavity along aligning reference board. CONSTITUTION:The truck 6 is loaded on the aligning reference board 5 and inside wheels 11 and outside wheels 12 are fitted to flange parts of both side ends of the truck 6 so as to insert the aligning reference board 5, and under such a condition, the truck 6 is laid in the cavity 17 between rolls 7, 7'. The truck 6 is carried on an upper surface of the aligning reference board 5 along the whole stroke or partial stroke of a strand from right under the mold to an outlet side of the slab supporting guide apparatus as a reference rail. On the truck 6, the diagnostic instruments 14 of the slab supporting guide apparatus, for example, roll-alignment measuring instrument, roll-distance measuring instrument, roll-rotation inspection instrument or spry nozzle checker, etc., are loaded.
