PURPOSE:To readily obtain a compound useful as a synthetic intermediate for various additives, surfactants, dyes, agricultural chemicals, medicines, etc., in high yield and at a low cost, by reacting chlorocyclohexane with an alkali metal sulfide in the presence of cyclohexene. CONSTITUTION:Chlorocyclohexane is reacted with an alkali metal sulfide, e.g. alkali metal disulfide such as sodium disulfide or a reaction mixture of an alkali metal monosulfide, e.g. sodium monosulfide, with sulfur in the presence of cyclohexene at 30-120 deg.C, preferably 80-100 deg.C to afford the aimed substance. The amount of the cyclohexene to be added is 0.01-10mol, preferably 0.05-0.8mol based on 1mol chlorocyclohexane and 0.8-3mol, based on 1mol alkali metal disulfide or alkali metal monosulfide as the alkali metal sulfide, sulfur is used to carry out the reaction. |
