<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution, to reduce the cost and to attain low power consumption by forming opposed electrodes on a PLZT substrate, applying a voltage between the electrodes and causing double refraction on the PLZT substrate to eliminate the need for a display system. CONSTITUTION:A transparent sheet 23 formed with an opposed electrode group 24 is placed on the PLZT substrate 22, a voltage is applied between the electrodes and an optional point on an input coordinate detection tablet 21 is pressed. Then the transparent sheet 23 formed with the transparent strip electrode 24 is pressed, part of the transparent strip electrode group 24 is brought into contact with the surface of the PLZT substrate 22, a potential difference is generated locally on the PLZT substrate 22 to stimulate the display state. When a voltage is applied to the electrode group 24 and the pressing point is moved, the locus is displayed and held. In erasing the data, the information is erased simply by pressing the part desired to be erased from the tablet 21 in a state of the electrode group 24 is connected to ground.</p> |
