PURPOSE:To execute correct on-tracking by calculating the correcting value of respective tracks based on the off-tracking quantity in at least two tracks formed on the disk and executing the tracking correction based on the result. CONSTITUTION:For a disk driving device, the off-tracking quantity in the outer- most circumferential track MOT of a disk 3 and the off-tracking quantity in the inner-most circumferential track MIT are detected by a detecting means 4, and a correcting value HN in respective tracks on the disk 3 is calculated by an arithmetic control means 5. By rotating and driving fine an access motor 1 with a rotating driving means 6 based on the correcting value HN, a magnetic head 2 is fine displaced in the radius direction of the disk 3 and the off-tracking in respective tracks is corrected. When the off-tracking occurs regardless of the off-tracking, the off-tracking quantity is detected by a detecting means 4 again only concerning the track where the off-tracking occurs, and the correcting quantity obtained by this method is supplied to a rotating driving means 6 as the correcting quantity concerning the track.
