PURPOSE:To reduce the memory release processing time by decreasing the number of times of address comparison. CONSTITUTION:A search start address decision means 2 takes over control from a release address input means 1, and when an address coincident with the address in the means 8 appears on the way that the address in the release address storage means 8 and the address of a memory block assigned already in a search start address storage means 10, the control is given to a search start address setting means 7. When the means 7 takes over the control from the means 2, the means 7 deletes the address in the means 8 from the means 10 and returns it to the means 2. When the control is returned from the means 7, the means 2 gives the control to a memory release execution means 4 directly without giving the control of the search means 3.
