PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to specify a bus and a storage device by providing a means which stores file names and node names of a storage device relevantly and a means which searches for a node name on the basis of a file name during access. CONSTITUTION:A control program is stored in a computer 11 and user programs are stored in computers 12-14. Node numbers and node names are assigned to the computers 11-14 and data bases 1-3. When the user of the computer 12 specified the iD of a data base, the iD information is transmitted to the computer 11 through a network 4. The computer 11 reports the bus from its stored control file to the data bus to the computer 12 to set the bus of access automatically. Consequently, optional data based can be accessed without specifying buses previously.
