PURPOSE:To quickly, safely and effectively execute the desensitization treatment of a lithographic printing plate and to form a tough hydrophilic film having high printing durability on the plate surface by combining specific compsns. CONSTITUTION:This compsn. contains a phytic acid or the functional deriv. thereof (component A), the compd. expressed by formula (I) or the hydride thereof (component B, the compd. expressed by formula (II) (component C) and PE glycol (component D) as effective components. The metallic compd. expressed by formula (I) is exemplified by nickel sulfate, etc., and accelerates the chelate reaction of the phytic acid or the deriv. thereof with Zn ions and the precipitation of the chelate compd. thereof. The compd. expressed by formula (II) is preferably selected from an ethylene glycol dimethyl ether, etc., The component A is incorporated preferably at 1-10pts.wt. in 100pts.wt. compsn. and the component D is incorporated preferably at 2-10pts.wt. therein. The component B is incorporated preferably at a ratio of 4-6mol per 1mol component A and the component C is incorporated into the compsn. preferably at 3-8pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. compsn.
