PURPOSE:To obtain the titled film having excellent properties of a heat resisting property and a moisture resisting property and also an excellent transmission factor against light by incorporating a matrix obtd. by copolymerizing a specific group with a polyester at randam in a specific amount, and by incorporating a dicroic dyestuff having an acidic group to said matrix. CONSTITUTION:The titled film is formed by mixing an acidic dichroic dyestuff with a polyesteramide. The polyesteramide is a compd. having an ester bonding and an amide bonding in the main chain of the polymer. Especially, the compounding ratio of the amide bonding to the ester bonding is preferable to be 0.5-5mol% to obtain the excellent effect. When the amide bonding content is <=0.1mol%, the excellent polarizing property of the titled film is not obtd. When said amide bonding content is >=10mol%, the heat resisting and the moisture resisting properties of the titled film reduce, and the mechanical property and the transparent property also reduce. The preferably representative example of the ester bonding contd. in said copolymer comprises ethylene terephthalate, butylene terephthalate and its copolymer.
