PURPOSE:To perform the assessment of the degree of an accident from a given seat of a person in charge by displaying simultaneously both of a picture of an accident car fed from respective terminals and a reference picture of a car of the same model. CONSTITUTION:The dealer to whom the accident car is brought feeds the state of the accident car photographed by a video camera 4 to a center by a telephone network through a controller for the assessment and a modem 9. In the center, this picture is displayed on a picture monitor 6 and a required picture is stored once as a still picture. Then, the picture photographed from the same angle as the received picture is taken out from a reference picture file stored in an optical disk storage device 7 to reduce, enlarge, rotate or the like the picture so as to have the same size as the received picture. This received picture and the reference picture are compared and the degree of the accident can be assessed from the given seat. |
