PURPOSE:To arrange definitely an end switch and a rest switch by coupling a coupler provided to the tip of a connecting rod to a rope suspended between a drum and other pulley so as to be in parallel with the connecting lever thereby absorbing the overrun of a tone arm by the elasticity of the rope. CONSTITUTION:A torque of a motor 51 as a drive source moving a tone arm 26 is delivered to a worm gear 53 via a belt 55 set between a pullyey 52 provided to the motor shaft and a pulley 54 provided to the shaft of the worm gear 53 and then delivered to a drum 57 on the same shaft to a gear 56 meshing with the worm gear 53. The tone arm 26 is moved by coupling the coupler 61a at the tip of the connecting lever 61 provided to a moving base 21 to the rope 60 set between the drum 57 and other pulleys 58, 59. Further, the tone arm 26 is moved nearly straight between the rest switch 62 and the end switch 63.
