PURPOSE:To improve strength, by providing tension bolts, integrally fixing plural housings, so as to be prevented from penetrating through a housing part being a flection point where a housing assembly generates bending deformation, in case of the captioned engine equipped with a divided type eccentric shaft. CONSTITUTION:A rotary piston engine has a housing assembly 1 comprising plural rotor housings 6-8, paired side housings 2, 3 and two or more intermediate housings 4, 5. And the engine houses rotors 9-11, fitted to an eccentric shaft 15 comprising the first eccentric shaft 16 and the second eccentric shaft 17 externally fitted to said shaft 16, in the rotor housings 6-8. Here the eccentric shaft 15 is mounted so that a fitting end part of the second eccentric shaft 17 for the first eccentric shaft 16 corresponds to the housing 5. While tension bolts 32, 34, integrally connecting the housings 2-8, are provided so as to tighten each housing to the housing 5.
