Device permitting the opening and the closing of the hat with the aid of a metal wire frame. This hat thus consists of a foldable flexible material with this metal wire frame which forms the operating means of the hat. This wire frame thus has a diameter of 0.2 by 0.1, which is connected at both ends by a crimping ring. This hat thus operates in the following manner: it must first of all be folded into a figure of eight, which subsequently continues to fold up and thus gives the shape of a small pocket 20 cm in diameter. The hat is able to stay closed only once one of the jutting-out ends of the hat is folded up inside the latter. <IMAGE>
