PURPOSE:To form such an air button cell that is little in variations of internal resistance and large in discharge capacity as well as excellent in discharge performance, by setting a hollow capsule in a sealing plate as a spacer besides an electrolyte and amalgamated zinc. CONSTITUTION:In this cell, a hollow capsule is set in a negative electrode part consisting of a sealing plate and sealing packing besides an electrolyte and zinc. It is formed into almost the same constitution as any other air button cell, but only one thing is different, that is, an alkali-insoluble hollow capsule 10 made of gelatin is set in the sealing plate. Thickness of a gelatin film is used in a range of 10-50mum. And, as for a capsule material, such gelatin as being insolubized is used, but since amalgamated zinc causes a blocking phenomenon between zinc grains and solidified after cell constitution, this hollow capsule is good enough if it is insoluble for several hours after cell constitution, so that if it is dissolved afterward, the same result is obtained. |
