PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid developer superior in printing resistance by dispersing a toner composed essentially of a colorant and a thermosetting resin into a carrier solution high in insulation resistance and low in dielectric constant. CONSTITUTION:The thermosetting resin is a polymer having thermosetting functional groups dispersed into an aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent, and it is prepared by introducing monomer units each having an ethylenically unsaturated double bond and a self-condensation or condensation type functional group, thus permitting the image parts to be hardened and enhanced in printing resistance by using such a thermosetting resin dispersed into the aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent, and the obtained toner to be prevented from separation from a base and changing of the printed image quality. |
