PURPOSE:To execute the development without disturbing mechanically a non- fixing image and to prevent the mixed color of an image by developing after the second color with a non-contacting, and recharging to the electric potential where the image is not re-developed prior to the formation of a latent image. CONSTITUTION:After a photosensitive body 10 is charged by a charger 11, by a light scanning body 12, an original is scanned and exposed, and developed by a developing device 13, and next, the electric potential of the first developing part is essentially made equal to the electric potential of the non-exposing part by the second charger 14, and in such a manner, after re-charging, exposure is executed by the second scanning body 15 and the development of the second color is executed by a non-contact type developing device 16. Hereinafter, the same conditions are given to chargers 17 and 20, development is executed by non-contact type developing devices 19 and 22 and transfer is executed to a paper once. Thus, by developing after the second color with the non-contact and re-charging to the electric potentials where the image is not re-developed, the development can be executed without disturbing the non-fixing image mechanically formed already on the recording body, and the mixed color of the image can be prevented.
