PURPOSE:To attain high capacity by winding a band in a multi-layer so as to increase number of tracks in winding one of the bands wound on a rotary shaft onto the rotary shaft. CONSTITUTION:A drive motor 1 drives a capstan 2, an arm 5 and a head 9 are shaken around a pivot shaft 7 by winding a band 3a, a rewinding a band 3b or rewinding the band 3a and winding the band 3b, the head position on the disk face is changed to apply magnetic recording onto the disk face. The belt wound in this case is wound in two-layer. Thus, in rewinding the band wound in multi-layer while turning the capstan 2, the capstan 2 is made it possible for multi-revolution, number of motor rotating steps is increased and the number of tracks on the disk face is increased.
