PURPOSE:To easily understand the resolution of a quadratic equation by providing the titled computer with a quadratic equation data input means, a continuous key operation means, an arithmetic means, and a display means. CONSTITUTION:A key entry part 11 is provided with the keys 11a for inputting numeral data, a function key 11b for inputting function key data, a store key 11c for commanding the substitution of count data, a key A 11d for specifying the input position of the count data, a key B 11e, a key C 11f, and a step-like resolution key 11g for commanding the step-like resolution display for a quadratic equation. An arithmetic part 13 writes or read out data in/from respective registers 14a-14f in a register part 14 on the basis of control data outputted from a control part 12 to execute operation and sends data to be displayed on a display register 15. The resolution of the quadratic equation is displayed on a display part 16 on the basis of the data sent to a display register 15. Consequently, the resolution of the quadratic equation can be easily understood.
