PURPOSE:To prevent dispersion of smoke and to exhaust the smoke effectively, by a method wherein a ventilating auxiliary device is situated in the vicinity of a cooking apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A case 11 incorporates a blower 3 which is positioned to the rear side or the side of a cooking apparatus 1 so that air is ejected through a slit 2, and has a wall body 4 extended in parallel to the slit 2. The air ejected through the slit 2 flows in a direction 5 in a manner to be adhered to the wall body 4. Smoke produced from the cooking apparatus 1 is also curved toward the wall body 4 by means of a jet flow and is raised togetherwith the jet flow. The smoke is exhausted with the aid of a ventilating device 6 to prevent disper sion of the smoke in a chamber. The slit 2 is designed so that a slit width is changed in the direction of the length of the slit, and the height of the wall body 4 is also changed along with the change in the slit width, and this constitu tion enables response to a multiport cooker.
