The luminaire frame includes longitudinal profile strips (11) and cross strips (12) used to form the rectangular structure to the housing, open at top and bottom. The long profile strips (11) have a C-shaped cross-section uniform over their length, and the vertical outer wall (11a) is joined via oblique walls (11b) and (11c) to a horizontal upper wall (11d) or bottom wall (11e). The clamping devices (15,20) used to fix in place the arm (17) of the corner piece (14) are provided with lugs (15) moulded integrally to the profile strips (11,12) and bendable behind a clamping surface (20) of the corner piece (14).
