The subject of the invention is a device intended to equip orientable castors. This device makes it possible to rotationally lock the caster 1 and rotationally lock the clevis 3 which carries this castor. It comprises a spindle 8 carrying at the front of the castor the control pedal 11 of the device whose lower part 17 serves directly to block the castor. The spindle 8 has a cam profile 13 inside the clevis so as to lock the ball bearing 5 on which this clevis is mounted. Such devices are intended to equip the orientable castors of trolleys such as those used in self-service stores. <IMAGE>
