PURPOSE:To make unnecessary correction of a graph curve value of a minute pressure reducing method, by reading a fact that a minute pressurization line shows a horizontal or descending line, in case a hole, etc. exceeding a pin hole which will be a problem exist in a tank, etc. CONSTITUTION:A tank containing petroleum and a piping which is annexed to the tank are sealed up tightly and the inside of the tank is brought to minute pressure reduction state by a pump, etc., and a pressure state in the petroleum tank, and the piping is recorded in a graph for a prescribed time. Subsequently, a tank containing the same petroleum and a piping which is annexed to the tank are sealed up tightly, the inside of the tank is brought to a minute pressurization by the same numerical value portion as a numerical value of the minute pressure reduction by leading in inert gas, and a pressure state in the tank and the piping is recorded in a graph for a prescribed time. A shows a graph in case there is no leakage in the tank and the piping, but if a hole exceeding a pin hole, a rack, etc. which will be a problem exist in the tank and the piping, a minute pressurization line always shows a horizontal or descending line as shown by a graph of B, therefore, by reading this minute pressurization curve, a question of a minute pressure reduction curve can be solved without deriving any corrected value.
