PURPOSE:To attain the automatic output of information in an equipment to a facsimile terminal equipment on the occasion of a fault by providing a control section and a fault information transmission section converting information relating to a fault into the character code of HEX form in the equipment. CONSTITUTION:A network control section 4 makes a call to a telephone number informed from a host equipment and a code pattern conversion section 2 sends a picture signal subjected to code pattern conversion to a facsimile terminal equipment. A control section 5 controls the operation of each section. If a fault takes place in the equipment during the operation above, the control section 5 controls a counter high-order interface section 1 to inform the fault content and the occurrence of fault to the host equipment. Then a fault information sending section 6 is operated with the control section 5, the data content in a preset area in the memory in the control section 5 is converted into a character code by HEX form and the code pattern conversion section 2 converts the code into a character pattern. Further, the network control section 4 is controlled and called to a predetermined telephone number, and the said pattern is outputted to the facsimile terminal equipment to which the facsimile terminal control section 3 is connected.
