[Class 51 (i).] In the supplying of hot air both above and below the grate, the whole supply is heated in a single stage heat exchanger F to a temperature suitable for delivery above the grate, a portion of this heated air is delivered (by way of duct M) directly above the grate, but the remainder is mingled (in a duct N) with a proportion of air at a lower temperature, the mixed air stream passing to inlets below the grate. As shown the air at the lower temperature is tapped off from a duct G leading from the forced draught fan H to the heat exchanger F. |
