PURPOSE:To easily print an image of double size by printing only one half of the image on photosensitive paper, and then moving the photosensitive paper by the half of an image plane and then printing the other half of the image on the photosensitive paper. CONSTITUTION:When a color image of 2L size is printed, a controller 37 switches a selector 11 to the side of a frame memory 13, so an image signal of one image surface is written in a frame memory 13 while separated by colors. When this frame memory 13 is read out, three primary color signals of the right half image are read out and sent to an expanding circuit 16 firstly and expanded to one image surface, and the signals are rotated by 90 deg. by a 90 deg. inverting circuit 17 and written in a frame memory 12. The right half image written in this frame memory 12 is read out by the colors in order and displayed on a CRT 15, so that the image of life size is printed on color photosensitive paper. Then, the color photosensitive paper 21 is drawn out by D and similar operation is carried out.
