NEW MATERIAL:An antitumor active substance active to suppress the proliferation of tumor cell and containing a polypeptide of formula I (X is Cys or Ser; Z is H or peptide having the amino acid sequence of formula II or peptide or amino acid following the sequence from its N-terminal and deficient of one or more amino acids) as a constituent protein. USE:Antitumor agent. PREPARATION:An immuno-competent cell originated from mammal, e.g. mononuclear cell such as lymphocyte (e.g. T-cell, B-cell, etc.), monocyte, macrophage, etc., is cultured in a medium normally used in cell culture preferably in the presence of an agent for inducing antitumor substance (e.g. phytohemagglutinin, concanavalin A, etc.). The objective antitumor active substance can be separated from the resultant supernatant liquid of the culture product by conventional method used in the separation of proteinous substance. |
