PURPOSE:To apply an adequate temp. distribution to a joint part and to execute good gas press welding by arranging the nozzles of burners for gas press welding at the number of nozzle arrays, intervals of nozzle arrays and nozzle diameters varied according to the thickness of a heating section. CONSTITUTION:The number of the nozzle arrays and the intervals l1, l2 thereof are changed according to the wall thickness of the heating part in place of controlling the heating width by the oscillation width of the burner nozzles. The adequate temp. distribution corresponding to the wall thickness of the heating is applied to the joint part without making oscillation, by which the temp. difference between the inside and outside of the joint part is made constant and the entire part of the joint part is heated to the critical temp. for press welding; in addition, the joint part is always enclosed with heating flames and the reducing atmosphere is maintained. Diameters d1-d4 of the nozzles may be determined by taking the quantity of the heating heat to be applied into consideration. |
