PURPOSE:To surely perform the change of a metal die by providing the locking groove for opening the lower face on a pallet rear face, by fitting pivotally the shift lever which rocks before and behind the frame of a metal die storage room, by providing the roller engaging with the locking groove at the tip and by linking a slider and lever with a link lever. CONSTITUTION:The tip part of the shift lever 20 having a roller is awaited at the rear part of the locking groove 14 of the pallet 13 above the stretcher 9 of a chain conveyor 10 in feeding the pallet 13 above the stretcher 9 onto a bolster 2. Then, the roller is placed just under the locking groove 14 by rotating the shift lever 20 slightly to the front part by stopping the conveyor 10 when the pallet 13 is slightly ascended from the roller. The roller is then fitted into the locking groove 14 by descending the conveyor 10. The pallet 13 is then pushed out and placed on the bolster 2 due to the roller pressing the wall 15 of the locking groove 14, when the shift lever 20 is rotated to the front part by moving the slider 22. In case of changing the metal die, the pallet 13 is returned onto the stretcher 9 by double-acting the shift lever 20 by double-acting the slider 22 at this position.
