PURPOSE:To retrieve easily a telephone number and to attain dialing by providing a means retrieving information, a means displaying the retrieved information and a means dialing the retrieved telephone number. CONSTITUTION:A retrieval circuit (b) inputs a retrieval means to retrieve a portable external storage medium (a) from a retrieval means input circuit (c). The retrieval circuit (c) makes retrieval based on the information and displays the corresponding information to a retrieval information display circuit (d). When the displayed information is desired information, a dial enable signal is inputted from a dial enable signal input circuit (f) to dial a corresponding telephone number, a call circuit (e) is started to output a call signal. When the displayed information is not the desired information, the retrieval means is inputted from the retrieval means input circuit (c) to continue the retrieval. A call signal outputted from the call circuit (e) is connected to a telephone line (i) through the transmission/reception circuit (h).
