A fireplace or stove apparatus for efficiently providing heat to a structure without loss of interior air to the flue draft. A blower (20) forces outside air through a conduit (22) located in the exhaust flue (21) into a grate (24) located in a fireplace or stove. The fuel loading opening (26) of the fireplace or stove is made substantially air-tightly sealed. An air opening in the grate provides air to be consumed by the fire. A second air opening in the grate is fluidly connected by means of a conduit (46) to the structure to be heated. |
