The invention relates to a piston/connecting rod arrangement with a connecting rod which is connected in articulated fashion to a piston. Arranged in the small connecting-rod eye, on the side facing the inside of the piston top, is a through hole which opens into a groove made in the bearing shell of the small connecting-rod eye. In order to achieve good lubrication of the gudgeon-pin bearing, a raised portion pointing in the direction of the through hole is formed on the inside of the piston top above the said through hole. Strength problems with the large connecting-rod eye due to a longitudinal hole through the connecting rod for supplying the gudgeon-pin bearing with oil are thereby avoided. <IMAGE>
