Known thread-conveying devices consist of two coaxial discs, between which the thread is guided and is taken up non-positively. This conveying device is worked with slip. So that work can be carried out without slip and any pressing forces desired can be applied, the axes (40, 41) of the discs (3, 4) are inclined relative to one another and intersect. The discs are pressed against one another in an elastically flexible manner at a point on their end faces. A roller is arranged as a guide track (38) concentrically relative to one of the discs. <IMAGE>
