PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the efficiency of production, by providing such an arrangement that a workpiece may be attached to and removed from an arm on movement without a hanger conveyer being stopped. CONSTITUTION:A workpiece 26 set on an arm 7 of a hanger 5 is held by upper and lower workpiece holding means 46, 47. These workpiece holding means 46, 47 are attached to a frame 29 which is slidable in the same direction as the direction of the arm 7, by means of an elevating means 34, and therefore, the workpiece 26 held by the workpiece holding means 46, 47 is moved in the direction in which the arm 7 is extended. Accordingly, loading and unloading may be made with no interference with the arm 7. Further, since the workpiece holding means 46, 47 are moved at the same speed as the feed speed of the workpiece 26, by means of a carrier vehicle 11, it is possible to attach and remove the workpiece 26 without the hanger conveyer being stopped, and therefore, it is possible to remarkably enhance the efficiency of production.
