1. Plank for scaffolding in the form of a longitudinally drawn light metal box section (1) constructed symmetrically with respect to all three co-ordinate axes (x, y, z) with longitudinally extending reinforcing webs (5) constructed in one piece with the upper wall (2) and lower wall (3), furthermore with alternate longitudinally extending projections (12, 14) and recesses (13, 15) provided on the upper and lower wall for preventing slipping and with connecting means (6, 7, 8, 9) for attachment to the scaffolding, the box section (1) extending in one piece over the entire width of a conventional plank and the two side walls (4) being constructed with a smooth surface, characterised in that the end faces of the box section (1) are open, that the projections (12) and recesses (13) have a trapezoidal cross-section so that the transition surfaces (16) formed in this way between the projections and recesses extend at an angle of approximately 60 degrees with respect to the horizontal surfaces of the projections (12) and recesses (13), that the trapezoidal projections (12, 14) and recesses (13, 15) are constructed both on the outer as well as inner surfaces of the upper and lower horizontal walls (2, 3) of the box section (1) so that the wall thickness is substantially constant and that the connecting means consist of tubular members (6, 7, 8, 9), the ends of which are welded to the edges of bores (10) in the region of the four corners of the upper and lower horizontal walls (2, 3). |
