The invention relates to devices for connecting the ends of optical fibres on a base provided with a least one groove capable of receiving the ends of the fibres. The device comprises essentially a rigid substantially tubular guide 3 surmounted by at least one groove, having steeply sloping external walls, the said guide 3 being surrounded by at least one flexible pressure-applying tube 4 surrounding the ends of fibres 1 and 2 in the groove 30 disposed longitudinally on the periphery of the said guide 3.
