PURPOSE:To prevent effectively the generation of moire by turning a light from an optical element minutely on the light receiving surface of an image pickup element and overlapping optical images in every direction so as to cause fog. CONSTITUTION:A rotary plate 12 being an optical element is arranged to the radiation end of an image pickup lens 11 and the radiation end face is tilted slightly to the incident end face intersecting orthogonally with an optical axis. The rotary plate 12 is driven by a drive motor 13 and the passing light is formed on the light receiving surface of a solid-state image pickup element 14. The images on the image forming surface are overlapped while drawing a circle attended with the rotation of the rotary plate 12 to cause fog and in case of deciding the positional deviation of an optical image so as to erase the moire at the lowest spatial frequency, the moire is reduced.
